Head of Statements is an installation & photography exhibit featuring 50+ hats that creatively display bold presence, identity, gratitude, and resilience. Through bold visual displays and self-reflective questions, the exhibit invites beholders to engage with the artist's story while reflecting on their own.

This exhibit invites viewers to take their own metaphorical "hats off"—shedding outdated beliefs, inherited trauma, and societal expectations—while putting their GROWTH on by stepping into reflection, affirmation, and self-discovery. Through thought-provoking conversation starters, reflective prompts, and unapologetic storytelling, this experience is a celebration of lived experiences, Black creativity, and the power of art as emotional liberation.

Through storytelling, Angela invites others to reflect on their “headspace.” Head of Statements is a testament to how shared stories save souls—and how art can hold space for power, identity, and healing. The project builds on Angela Harvey’s new poetry self-help book, Poetic Alchemy,  award-winning documentary Black Rainbow Love, and adult coloring book, Colorful GROWTH.
